Dr. Mando is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. and Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA where he received a degree in Psychology. He subsequently obtained his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at East Tennessee State University, followed by a Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Mando is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. Additionally, he is a professional member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. Dr. Mando treats a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders but is particularly interested in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), hemorrhoid ligation therapy, and screening programs including colon cancer screening.
